yesterday i had the 6 hours pract again. using retinoscope to neutralise astigmatism is much harder than neuralising spherical refractive error alone. i feel kind of demoralised because of that. we also practised the cross-cyl and it was not bad, at least i manage to find the correct astigmatism. i was at bit impatient with Vi coz it seems like she doesn't know what she is doing. i feel guilty after that. i think it's my pms.. hope she is not upset with me.
in the afternoon, i did the pract with Dung. while i was finding her refraction using the cross-cyl, she told me that i did it really fast. it's like as if i have done it lotsa times already.. she said she still needs to refer to her notes while doing cross-cyl. actually it's my first time doing cross-cyl too but i can just remember the procedure after reading my notes the night before.. anyway, i felt really flattered. hehe.. it just makes my day la.. i prefer such compliments as compared to compliments like 'u are smart', 'all H1s'... of which the hidden meaning may be 'u are a nerd'(though as compared to the 'front row' students, i am far away from that.) i am not someone who only knows how to get good grades ok. i want my skills to be recognised too. i sound rather ambitious here. wahah.. it's a pity that i have no one to practise my retinoscope on at home.. my friends have family members to practise on. i'm pretty sure my bro won't let me. then my cousin has perfect eyesight. so i guess i need to treasure my practise time in pract.
anyway, i think Dung is really nice.. i can be a more natural me when i pair with her as compared to Ho and Bao. i had more fun too. maybe cos she is not really loud and over-friendly. (hmm.. what am i hinting?)
yesterday night, i watched 'Billy Elliot' for the first time. it's a good one. :)
