i think ophthalmoscopy is slightly easier than retinoscopy coz all u have to do is look into the pupil and observe the fundus. it's cool that we can actually look at the structures on the fundus. but looking for the fovea reflex is quite difficult sometimes. then keratometry was pretty easy though it may get confusing too, especially the alignment part.. i will need to check that out.
in the afternoon session, i did pract with Loc. i didn't know him personally before the pract so i was pretty nervous coz i'm not sure whether he is nice to work with. later, i found out that he is much nicer than what i was expecting..first impression is always wrong ba. anyway, he made a few mistakes and i made a few too.. but we did our eye examination pretty fast so we ended earlier than the rest. maybe coz he is an easy subject too. anyway, i actually enjoyed working with him. i think coz he is quite funny and friendly. i did my ophthalmoscope last and i was surprised that i couldn't see his fundus well this time. i kept on trying but the view is not good enough for me to see the fovea reflex and so on.. i thought that i am probably lousy with my ophthalmoscope. but after the session ended and i thought through again what i did wrongly, i realised a very important thing: i forgot to take off my glasses when i did oph on him. wah!!! no wonder i cannot get a good view. i'm so stupid to actually forget such an important procedure!! and neither Loc nor the demonstrator realised i didn't take off my glasses. Geez~ why am i so stupid!?
but i'm glad it's over.
