i came home very late last night so i didn't update my blog.
yesterday's pract was alright i guess. the morning session was quite horrible. coz we have to do so many procdures at one go.. and i can't remember how to do them!! it was stressful!! ok i think i need to read up on Tim's lectures (coz actually i didn't read much before the pract)
then i did the afternoon pract with Alissa. when i was doing ret on her, i was surprised to find so much astigmatism in her eye. i thought i was wrong but after redoing, i still got the same thing so in the end, i asked her to confirm and she said that she has very high astigmatism. oh my goodness.. i got another hard patient after Julia. then when i tried to do Fan and Block on her, it was so hard!! coz her astig is too high. then Kwang came and asked me to do it again.. and he said i have forgotten how to do Fan and Block.. that means my Fan method sucks.. die.. but we still couldn't use the Fan method on her.. in the end, i need to use Cross-cyl on both her eyes. geez, i dun want to get her as my patient in my hurdle assessment. my ret is about 1D out (includes sphere + cyl) on both her eyes but she is such a hard patient so i still think my ret is still ok. anyway, i dun want to let this ruin my day. since a lot of time is spent on Fan and Block, i dun have much time left of ophthalmoscope so kwang asked me to do only one eye. i managed to find the optic head but i can't figure out the CD ratio. it was quite blur and the optic disc margin is not obvious. my god.. it's so hard to see!! i dun want such a high astig patient!! i think my ophthalmoscope sucks more than my ret now. i need to practise more often. i shall practise on my cousin tonight. yah.. then Alissa spent a lot of time doing ret on me and her ret is pretty out too.. so not everyone is good at ret la.. we finished late in the end.. but today, kwang didn't teach me much except the Fan and Block.. i want to know how to do the Binocular measurements fast.. hmm.. why not we go and ask kwang for help on one of the days? Thurs?
then it was raining so heavily outside. it sucks for sure. i went home with Julia. by the time i reached home, i was drenched! then i put on some dry clothes and then i went out again to meet my friends.
one of my M'sian friends is holding her birthday celebration at night. and she asked along some of her other friends whom i haven't met before. everyone is from M'sia so we got along pretty well. it was very fun la. all of them are easy going people so there was a lot of fun and laughter. we went to a korean restaurant to have dinner and then we went to Brunetti at Lygon street for iced chocolate. (joy, when u were at lygon, i was there too!!) then we went home at 10.30pm. by then, i had too much liquid so i needed to use the toilet urgently. then i went to a friend's place to use her toilet.. it's at College House. i told her my other friend, lynette also lived there and she said she also knows lynette!! haha.. so coincidence. but then again, everyone who lives in College House knows each other la. it's so fun living there la. and i found out my friend keeps a cat in her apartment!!
by the time i reached home, it was 11.30pm. i was so tired!! then my cousin told me my brother and him were worrying about me coz i didn't pick up my hp when they called several times. opps.. i didn't hear my hp mah. i felt really guilty but it feels good to have pple worrying over u. waha~ let them worry one time also good la.. so they will know how important i am :p
oh yah forgot to mention one thing. when i was walking to the city, i saw Julia and her sisters in her car on her way to work. then when i was walking home late at night, i saw them again!! it was so funny. and Julia asked me whether i want to join them to watch movie. it was so late!! i was terribly tired so i declined. hehe.. but in the end they didn't watch la - -!! ( Julia just called me to tell me) luckily i didn't hop into their car.
anyway i had so much fun last night. hehe.. and i slept very well too and woke up late :p
