i always feel like updating on Friday. there is always something new, something special about Friday even though i have to wake up really early. it's the day where we spent 6 hours on clinical practice, where we learn new techniques and get familiar with the routine techniques as well. it's also sort of a 'get to know other optom' day coz we have to pair up with other optom students. it's pretty fun la and it's more relaxing than other weekdays... though sometimes the day can become pretty stressful. anyway, i enjoy my Friday practical most of the time. today, we get to learn Tonometry. there isn't many procedures to it and there isn't any factor that we have to control. we just have to be careful with hygiene and also, to be fast and accurate. if not, the cornea will be scratched la. sorry to juju. both juju and i have SPK but it appears initially tt juju's SPK is more serious. but in the afternoon when we asked kwang to check again, juju's SPK has recovered a lot while i still have a large patch at my bottom cornea. so in conclusion: juju's cornea is scratched very superficially, perhaps just the outer layer while mine perhaps extends to the deeper epithelial layers. or else we can just say that juju's regeneration is very fast( like naruto but i dun believe :p) chey.. luckily i didn't cause a lot of damage to her eye. heh. i feel much better.
in the afternoon, i worked with Jess. i think she is really cool!! a very steady girl. hehe.. and this is my first time using slit lamp to look at a caucasian's eye. the iris look so different! and her cup to disc ratio is huge! i think i experience many new stuff while working with her so it's really cool!! i enjoyed myself and i hope she enjoyed working with me too. hope that i didn't bore her. hah! coz i still feel quite nervous when speaking to caucasians.(dun laugh at me) anyway, i find her really steady and real. :)
after i got home from pract and when i was searching for my pencil case, i realised i left my pencil case in VCO. i'm not sure whether i left it in the preclinic area or in my locker.. geez. i hope it's the latter. anyway, i hope it's not lost!! i think the locker makes me a messy person. -_-
i have to finish NANA soon!! so i can focus on my studies.. haven't been studying and i feel really stupid recently. have to revise a lot of stuff!!
