today's pract was pretty alright i guess. the best thing is that my pms is over!! though i got stomach cramps now. as compared to the emotional torture i have got during pms, stomach cramps are really nothing.
we learnt how to use fundus lens today and i think having superfield fundus lens is better. the field of view is bigger and even though the magnification is smaller, we can still use the slit lamp mag to see clearly so there isn't any disadvantage at all, is there? so it doesn't make sense to me.
BIO is tiring la.. we have to tell the patient to look at 8 different positions and then everytime they change their gaze, i sort of need to find the fundus view again and it takes some time.. so my arm really hurts la. so i have decided tt i need to do some push ups to train my arm muscles and i also have to train my BIO so i can do it faster and more efficiently to prevent 'muscle wasting'. hehe.. many of the classmates left early after practising for a while.. geez, are they really that good? or they just can't be bother? then bao has no one to practise on.. poor thing.. so she came to us to ask us if we can let her practise. and so vivian and bao practise together. group B is really the worse and lazier of the two groups.
in the afternoon, i was a little bit late as compared to usual so all the good lanes have been taken up. damn.. so i have to use a lousier lane with ho. i realised he is seriously irritating(though i have already known it in the past). he hasn't got his eyes dilated coz his IOP was too high last week so there is a risk of glaucoma. so i can't do BIO and fundus lens on him. then lauren(the demo) offered to let me use fundus lens on her coz she has large pupils so she doesn't need dilation. then i just find her optic head and that's it coz i dun want to waste too much of her time. then i wanna do tonometry on ho. he is so scared tt i will scratch his cornea coz he said his cornea was scratched in the last 2 weeks. he doesn't want his cornea scratched coz he is wearing CLs. so tt means he thinks that i'm lousy? i'm pretty confident in my tonometry so i insisted. the more he resist, the more insistent i became. hello, i can't do BIO and fundus lens on u already and u still dun want me to do tonometry on u? then what else can i do!!? wth. so after checking that his eyes are perfect, i did tonometry on him at just one go(though he did 5 times on me!). but my reading wasn't the same as what christine got.. missed by 3mmHg, maybe coz i didn't look long enough to see carefully.. coz i dun want to scratch his cornea. and then christine checked later that there wasn't any scratch at all. wahaha.. that makes him shut his mouth. i dun think he is a gentleman at all. and i won't allow him to bully me. sorry, i'm not those kind of gentle girls who will pity u and do whatever u say. even if he hates me after that, i dun care. it's not my fault anyway. seriously, i can't practise much on him and i am pissed off already. i really dislike guys who complain a lot. i complain a lot too but i'm a girl so it's understandable :p but i'm kind enough to let him do everything already alright? as compared to loc, he is really.... is he a guy!? i can't stand guys graduated from melb high!!! anyway, i dun hate him la. maybe that's his character.
after pract, i went to find the korean restaurant and i found it!! and i book a table for wed. he offered a private room but we can't have bbq inside. i want bbq so i can't use that room. it's a bit sad la. then i went to max brenner with eliz. i had craving for chocolate. the dessert was superb but the iced chocolate wasn't as good as koko black. can i have koko black on wed afternoon? *hint* hehe.. after that, i just go safeway to buy some stuff before going home. it was a long day but i haven't felt so good since tuesday. so i'm satisfied.
